Passage-1

Read the following passage and answer the questions given at the end.

The knowledge of salesmanship is of great value for everybody. It does not matter whether a man is going to be a doctor, a soldier, a lawyer, a teacher, or a businessman; he will start out as a salesman selling his knowledge, his training, and his personality. His future will depend mostly upon his salesmanship, and his ability to impress others favorably.

Mostly successful businessmen are good psychologists. They know and understand people; they have learnt how to get along with them. They have cultivated many positive qualities in them. These qualities are: Honesty, imagination, optimism, a willingness to serve and cooperate with others, a sincere interest in the welfare of others and a thorough knowledge of the product to be sold. These are the positive qualities which comprise true salesmanship. These are the essential qualities for success not only in business but also in the business of life. (Words: 156)
