Use both primary and secondary sources to substantiate your answer. This is a research essay, so we expect you to find scholarly sources that will help you add sophistication, substance and depth to your essays central argument. It is important that you focus on relevant scholarly sources for your chosen topic. Please note: many websites and other online materials are NOT scholarly sources (eg. YouTube clips)check with your seminar leader if you are unsure. You will also need to look for relevant and reputable primary sources (e.g. maps, statistical reports, archival material). You need to find 5 sources to use in your essay: One secondary source from the further readings (Provided) One secondary source taken from the bibliography of one of the further readings you chose One secondary source that you have found Two primary sources Final submission of the essay (1500 words) to Turnitin (18%). Your final essay should be 1500 words (+/- 10%, including quotations and in-text citations, but excluding your bibliography). While there is no minimum requirement for the number of sources used, it would be difficult to produce a well-researched scholarly essay with fewer than two sources per body paragraph.
